Lead consulting for new warehouse and production site with built-in vehicle weighbridge in the tidal Hamburg port area

Dating back to 1997, WTM Engineers has been involved in consulting the construction of several warehouses and office buildings on the operating site of Schwarze & Consorten Lagerhaus GmbH in the port area of Hamburg. Now a new green coffee treatment plant for cleaning, interim storage, blending, and packing of raw coffee beans has been added.

The six-storey machinery and silo building was designed as a steel structure. The construction involved deep foundations with drilled displacement piles; it also includes a partial basement designed as a waterproof concrete structures.

In addition to the concrete road surfaces for the truck and reach stacker traffic, the outdoor area includes surfaces made of concrete block paving and a vehicle weighbridge. As a preparatory measure, fire water pipes had to be laid in addition to the explosive ordnance probe and pipeline construction work.
