Our colleagues from Berlin, Munich, Kiel, and Rostock accepted the Hamburg invitation to the team day last Friday. The motto “Up on high with great views” promised a lot and was able to deliver.
The day began in the Bachsaal of the St. Michaelis Hauptkirche with a presentation by the artistic director of Kampnagel, Amelie Deuflhard. She used various theater formats and socio-critical interventions that took place at Kampnagel as examples to show the role and significance that art and culture can and should play in society. There was also time afterwards for our questions and a personal exchange. Many thanks to Amelie Deuflhard for the very inspiring talk!
In the afternoon, there was something on offer for every activity level. Some climbed the church towers of Hamburg, while others enjoyed the sweeping views of the surrounding countryside from the Energieberg. A canal cruise on the Alster also offered a relaxing way to admire the beautiful view of the grand houses along the canals, while the high-ropes climbing park was the muscle-powered option to get a view from the top.
In the evening, we all met up again at the former main customs office in the Speicherstadt. Good food, refreshing drinks, and upbeat music rounded off the day perfectly. A huge thank you to the organizing team and to everyone who took part. It was simply wonderful to spend the day with you!
