Sustainability thanks to non-destructive testing methods

Prof. Christian Große honoured for his life’s work.

As part of the 5th International Conference on Sustainable Building Materials and Technologies (SCMT5) at Kingston University in London, Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Dipl.-Geophys. Christian Große received an award for his life’s work. Prof. Große, who teaches at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) where he holds the Chair for Non-Destructive Testing, has been busy setting up and expanding WTM Engineers’ “WTM Diagnostics” section, our Competence Centre for Non-Destructive Testing Methods and Structural Health Monitoring, since 2015. Prof. Große has, amongst other things, developed and applied non-destructive testing methods in the construction and mechanical engineering worlds – as documented by four patents, 47 book publications, and a large number of scholarly articles.
