After just 3.5 years of planning and construction, Schulzentrum Hamburger Straße and Neue Oberschule Lehe opened their doors right on time for the start of the school year. Students and teachers alike can now enjoy open-plan learning worlds, central plazas, and variable room concepts. The opening of the third school, Neue Grundschule Lehe, will take place as planned during the 2025 fall break.
The cooperation in the “Allianz 3 Schulen” IPA integrated project management team is setting new standards in planning and construction. As Germany’s first largely completed, public-sector IPA construction project, the effort shows what is possible when team spirit, digital planning methods, and close communication and trust come together within the IPA team. The project progressed smoothly with all parties involved, and the things were completed in-budget and in-time.
