At the end of September, the 33-km-long section of the A94 interstate was officially opened to traffic by German Federal Transport Minister Andreas Scheuer and the Bavarian Minister of Construction and Transport Dr Hans Reichhart. The section through the delightful countryside of the Isental valley closes a gap in the interstate between Munich and Passau.
WTM Engineers was part of the Design Joint Venture and was, amongst other things, responsible for designing two large bridges and other civil engineering structures.
Dr Otto Wurzer, Managing Director of WTM Engineers Munich, and staff member Karin Reiter took part in the opening ceremony.
