In 2021, we have once again decided to forego sending Christmas cards and instead to support the “Infrastructure for Rural Communities” program run by the not-for-profit Engineers Without Borders. This way, we hope to contribute to improving living conditions in disadvantaged rural parts of Africa and Southeast Asia which have been hit by conflict and the after-effects of colonialization. Through numerous projects ranging from a stable energy supply to solar thermal water disinfection, Engineers Without Borders and the local partners they work with are doing indispensable work – and have been for almost 20 years!
