The lecture hall this time was HafenCity

Around 45 students and two professors from Aarhus University visited WTM last week. We've had contact with the university for a long time, and we look forward to the exchange every time.

With a lucky hand when it came to Hamburg's capricious autumn weather, Friedrich Hilgenstock and Nicodemus Jansson led the group through the nearby HafenCity.

This district is particularly interesting for Danish civil engineering students, because building by the water and flood protection are important topics in Denmark as well. Here, you can experience both in practice.

WTM Engineers' involvement in HafenCity dates back to the master plan, and we have since contributed to numerous buildings in the district. During the tour, there were many opportunities to share planning experiences.

The group was impressed by the engineering work. The questions ranged from pile foundations to rental prices, and it is precisely this variety that makes tours like these so rewarding for us.
